  2. Long-lived Immunity after Smallpox Vaccination (12-05-2008)

    Researchers from NIA have just reported results of a study in which 97% of 209 vaccinated subjects maintained antibody titers for up to 88 years. While promising, these results must be interpreted carefully.

  3. New Smallpox Vaccine Safe for HIV Patients (11-24-2008)

    Biosecurity Briefing: On November 5, 2008, the Danish pharmaceutical company Bavarian Nordic reported that its new smallpox vaccine, Imvamune, is safe for use in patients infected with HIV.
